It’s finally YOU & I!!!💃🏾
Back by popular demand… another round of Q&A!!! 👏🏾 👏🏾👏🏾
Some of you were unable to send in your questions last weekend which is why I decided to extend our “therapy session”.
I’d like to state that the sole purpose of this Q&A is to encourage people to come forward with issues that plague them by asking whatever question is on their mind(s) and I’d do my best to cater to you.
Hopefully this helps.
Firstly and most importantly; It’s #WorldAutismMonth!!! 💙
To help you understand better; you can read my previous article titled “I Won’t Camouflage”
Let’s get into it Fam!!!
Question: What is the best way to overcome insecurities?
Answer: Self worth!!!
Realizing or building self worth.
I know how cynical that may sound seeing as so many misunderstand what it means to “build”.
That being said; I’d like you to know that self worth will never come from having a pretty face or a banging body, but it’s mostly dependent on inner growth and possibly your mental capabilities.
I was telling a friend the other day that the sky will never be my limit. I’d keep climbing till I get to the peak in heaven and even then I’d ask The Almighty if there are more stairs.
A queen in her right… and I refuse to be told or act otherwise!!! 👸🏽
Question: If a guy passionately loves you and you love him but not as much, reason being that he wasn’t exactly the man of your dreams in terms of looks & he is already planning your future with him, what do you do?
Answer: Love gives you the right to be free!!!! ♥️
Truthfully, it is hard for me to comprehend the basis for the measurement of love.
Nevertheless, remember “Beauty is Fickle”. The pretty boy/girl today may not be so presentable in the long run.
Why do we push love away? 🤦🏽♀️
We seek what we don’t need!!! 🤨
I think it is absolutely beautiful that he sees a future with you. Still, only you can decide which path to take and with whom you’d journey.
My advise to you will be for you to be completely honest with yourself on what it is you truly feel for this person, then be honest with the person so as to avoid resentment.
Question: What does it mean to live a good life from your point of view?
Answer: Simply – to LIVE!!!
Each to his own…
There is no adequate definition of a good life, but, a life of no regrets, a life where I’m at peace with my choices and content with just BEING, a supportive family, a great group of friends and love from some selected few is pleasing enough.
Question: What does feminism mean to you?
Answer: To me, feminism is basically equality for all. A movement where women are given the freedom to be whoever they CHOOSE to be without judgement and having the required support of our “men”.
Question: How does one build his/her self worth/esteem?
Answer: Like peak -“it’s in you”. I kid 😏
I am a very shy person by nature.
Lucky that my breasts are small and humble – shakira.
I am proud of the woman I am becoming.
Say to yourself daily… “Just like Gold, I am indestructible!!!”.
If you’re displeased with who you are, refine it. It’s never too late.
Question: What’s your take on College relationships and are they always a distraction? Isn’t it possible to find your soulmate in school and still come out with flying colors?
Answer: College relationships just like every other relationship; family inclusive can be a hassle and sometimes distracting if the negative surpasses the positive.
It is possible to find your soulmate at any time in your life so that shouldn’t be a barrier.
I know of many that were able to sustain relationships all through the years and still not end up together.
That being said, all we have control over is our present.
There’s no point being with someone who doesn’t help you grow!
Nurture it as much as you can but remember at the end of the day – you’ve got you.
Dont waste time you ought to be growing individually to be cleaning up the mess from relationships.
Question: Does writing energize or exhaust you?
Answer: A little bit of both. Mostly the former though.
I write as a way to express myself and my inner thoughts.
Everytime i decide to stop, it pulls me back.
Question: What are common traps for aspiring writers?
It can be very frustrating when you desperately need your work to be appreciated- not just for financial reasons but simply for the love of it yet it’s misunderstood then you have to keep explaining and struggling to get genuine support.
It gets exhausting when I have deadlines or I’m uncomfortable with the topic I have to write on which is the major reason I’ve not monetized Yours&Ours so it doesn’t became to feel like a Job.
Question: What is your writing process like?
Answer: I answered this in the previous therapy session but I’d simplify it again – I create the plot mentally then I scribble a bunch of random words as a skeleton and eventually piece it together to create something that’s hopefully incredible and well received.
Question: What is your skincare routine?
Although I have decided to permanently use Biowell Procare skin brightening serum (because it makes my skin glow and appear brighter and healthier without bleaching me).
I use Neutrogena rain bath shower gel and neutrogena hydro boost body gel cream (at night) to keep my skin hydrated.
It’s a wrap folks! Thank you so much for sending in your questions.
Together we’re bound to fly! 🧚🏼♂️🧚🏽♀️
Stay Happy always.
Happy New Month!!!
