The Recovery Process.

I’ve been told its good to have feelings and to allow one’s conscience aid your decisions. Although,at times those feelings consume you because they may not always bring about positive vibes. So… what to do? Do we ignore?
The world is portrayed differently by different folks. How do you see your world? What is it you want to see? I bet you didn’t know that you have the ability to create what it is you want to see.
Generally, everything is easier said than done. We say to quit bad habits but sometimes never do till unfortunate incidents take place. A great number of people all over the world experience trying times and these phases are a part of human nature. Sometimes, they just cannot be avoided or predicted. Disappointingly, some people never speak out, probably due to fear, panic and mostly because they do not want to be judged.
Questions like “why were you there in the first place?”, “Why dress so provocatively?”, “Do men get raped?”, If yes, then How So?”.
Regardless of gender and circumstances, nobody deserves to be abused.
Rape is defined as a type of sexual assault usually involving sexual intercourse or other forms of sexual penetration perpetrated against a person without his or her consent. On average, there are 288,820 victims (age 12 or older) of rape and sexual assault each year in the U.S alone.
Child sexual abuse is a widespread problem. Funny as it may seem though, men also get abused/raped, it could be done by a man or woman.
People who have been raped or abused can be traumatized and develop post traumatic stress order, it diminishes one’s self esteem, sociality and sense of security.
But then why are the victims made to feel guilty sometimes by the society? Why do they suffer secretly?
Some say, talking about a problem with someone can be good for the healing process.
Do we blame the victims for the unfortunate act? Are they to blame? Ofcourse Not! Every human is solely responsible for their actions and thoughts.
This disturbing act can be put to an end by being cautious of what you let in, what you see and hear, by breaking bad habits, filtering evil from our thoughts and always choosing to do the right thing, by praying (for those who believe)…. You can be the change you want to see. It all starts with ONE!!! One person, one mentality, unity and understanding as a people. Make the right choices today and everyday so the world would be a better and safer place.
FOOD FOR THOUGHT: No mistake is too great not to recover and bounce back. When life puts you down, get back up.
Xoxo
